Cable carriers with split crossbar design
enable easy cable access

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. – April 16, 2008– igus® Inc. E-Z Chain cable carriers are designed with a split crossbar along the outer or inner radius for fast installation or removal of cables and hoses—without any tools. Press the conduit into the carrier to install and pull straight up to remove. E-Z Chains also make lateral flexibility at the moving end of the carrier possible by allowing some misalignment between moving and fixed ends.

The E-Z Chain split crossbars are flexible, but retain their shape and strength to provide secure protection and easy cable accessibility. This is achieved through a unique crossbar design, which consists of two, memory-retaining plastic pieces.

E-Z Chain is available in 18 different styles and a wide range of sizes. For example, E03 E-Z Chain is one of the smallest cable carriers available on the market with interior dimensions ranging from 0.20 inches to 0.39 inches. These tiny carriers are ideal for applications such as measuring apparatuses, medical engineering, electronic equipment, assembly robots and miniature power supplies to any machinery.

On the other end of the spectrum, the large E-Z Chain System E300, has inner widths from 1.89 to 2.95 inches. This Energy Chain® is well suited for light duty applications such as medical devices, plotters, test fixtures and any application requiring frequent access to cables.
