EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. – August 15, 2006 – Igus® Inc., the leading developer of iglide® plastic bearings, DryLin® linear guide systems and Energy Chain® cable carriers, today announced the introduction of a new line of maintenance-free, slewing-ring bearings. Iglide PRT slewing-ring bearings include a sliding element made from iglide J plastic, an aluminum housing and stainless steel screws. The use of iglide J makes the new slewing ring maintenance and lubrication free.

Iglide PRT is available in various sizes, including a compact option with an inner diameter of 1.18 inches. These slewing rings have high wear resistance, high rigidity and are easy to assemble. They are ideal for semiconductor, clean room, assembly, production and robotic applications.
