Different from the typical Energy Chain design, which features sidelinks and crossbars, “zipper chains” are built with interconnected lids. These lids pull back like a zipper, removing the top section of the Energy Chain in one uniform piece at any point along the length of the carrier.

“Zipper” Energy Chains make cable installation and removal—especially for cables equipped with preassembled connectors—both fast and simple because its unique design eliminates the need to snake cables through the carrier. Instead, cables and hoses can be laid out along the Energy Chain in their compartment.

“Zipper” Chains are ideal for applications requiring an economical solution, little to no noise, high acceleration and travel speed, high stability, long service life or an aesthetic design. Sizes range from an inner height of .35 inches to 1.26 inches and an inner width of .24 inches to 3.94 inches.

“Zipper chains” also can come equipped with various accessories such as strain relief, Quicksnap: a complete mounting bracket unit detachable by hand, Quickfix: a mounting bracket featuring a pin and interior separators exclusively for Series 15 and Series 17, which enable multiple cable configurations.
