Universal Installation Kit

Install Triflex R on any robot without any special hardware.  The universal installation kit includes:

  • one 90° stainless steel pipe
  • two mounting brackts to attach the pipe to the robot and enable it to swivel
  • one double-layered, adjustable attachement with three mounting brackets to secure the cable carrier

If the kit can be mounted in the direction of the sixth axis, and the fiber rod is longer than the distance between the fifth axis and th first fixed point, then Triflex R can move as far as the fifth axis avove or parallel to the robot arm.

By attaching an additional, short piece of Triflex R without a fiber rod at the movable point, the robot can move repeatedly on the sixth axis in an area greater than ±180° without ever making contact with the carrier.

It is recommended to install the universal installation kit on the back when:

  • Triflex R moves on the fifth axis greater than 90°
  • the additional piece moves more than ±180°; or if there are tight space restrictions

In this configuration the fiber rod can be attached to the robot arm in a wide angle.

If the movement of the robot is undefined, the free end of the carrier must be twice as long as the fiber rod.  All connecting elements are supplied with the kit.

The universal installation kit:

  • enables the attachment of fiber rod modules in any given position relative to the robotic arm;
  • avoids interfering edges and excess cable loops;
  • holds Triflex R close to the robotic arm, i.e. to acheive maximum rotation on the 6th axis or  to move the carrier through openings; and
  • quickly and easily positions adjustments, i.e. for small program alteration; and
  • has customized attachments available.
