Aaron Beal, a mechanical engineer, used DryLin® R linear plain bearings from igus® Inc. on a wheelchair suspension. Beal designed the wheelchair suspension to enable individuals with no upper-arm strength to descend from a curb without incident. DryLin R provides a lightweight, non-corrosive, self-cleaning, low-cost solution that is easy to replace by the end user.
