Gregson Clark out of Leroy, N.Y. specializes in sales of spray products and providing solutions for the turf management industry.
One of Gregson’s customers required mechanical agitation inside the spray tanks. This required belt driving the agitator shafts from a sheave on the back of the pump shaft and also needed to be easily engaged and disengaged when necessary.
Space was limited and ensuring alignment was difficult. The challenge was to design a belt tensioner that would be inexpensive, fit the space restriction, compensate for alignment and be able to withstand the tough chemical environment.

With igubal® spherical bearings, the tensioner rotates on the agitator shaft itself. The bearings solved alignment issues, eliminated the space problem and are maintenance-free. Igubal spherical bearings should outlast the machine.
