Chainflex Overview

Chainflex® continuous-flex cables—often called flex cable or robot cable—were developed by igus® in 1988 and are designed for installation in Energy Chain cable carriers. They deliver longer life and better performance in all types of automated machinery and are ideal for demanding, high-flex applications. Visit the video library for application and installation videos.

Chainflex cables are available in more than 800 sizes and styles. The line offers data, power, bus, Ethernet, koax and fiber optic cables, as well as air hoses. Igus pioneered a unique technique of cable construction in which the conductors are bundled rather than layered and performs more than 35 rigorous cable tests in all types of conditions, to ensure the elite performance of Chainflex.

All Chainflex cables are RoHS-approved. Igus also offers custom Chainflex cables and Chainflex specifically for Allen Bradley Systems. Chainflex cables are available from stock with no minimum order.
