To inspect small diameter pneumatic seals for signs of wear, they are mounted in the carriage of a crank mechanism or wear measurement device. The carriage is vertically guided with three iglide® plastic bushings on two rods and is driven by a crank mechanism. The connecting rod uses igubal® rod end spherical bearings. Importantly, neither bearing requires lubrication. The carriage and connecting rod should be extremely light so as not to generate any unnecessary load forces. The igubal® rod end spherical bearings do not show any noticeable wear even after completing over 15 million cycles.
