MISSION TO HUBBLE COMPLETE!
|
Igus® Inc. wrapped up its nationwide product sponsorship of the 2005 BEST Robotics Competition with great success! Students from all over the U.S. used Energy Chain® cable carrier, DryLin® linear guide systems and igubal® spherical bearings on their robots designed to replace dead batteries on a simulated Hubble Telescope.
This year's participants competed for a number of awards, including the igus Top Gun Award for the most points scored in one round of play. The Ambassadors for Christ Academy in TX, Davison High in MI and Stacey High School in TX each grabbed the igus award at its regional event. |

"The BEST Robotics program touches nearly 10,000 students every year across the United States. This would be impossible without the hundreds of volunteers and the generous support of our corporate sponsors. When igus' Y.E.S. (Young Engineers Support) Program partnered with us, the impact to those students took on a whole new dimension. My sincere thanks to igus for their contributions and for being such an important part of BEST Robotics. I look forward to a continuing partnership with igus."
