FIRST TEAMS AIM HIGH!

Igus® Inc. is a product sponsor for the multinational 2006 FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competition. Students from all over the U.S. and other locations across the globe had the opportunity to use a wide-array of igus products, including Energy Chain® cable carrier, iglide® plastic bearings and DryLin® linear guide systems and shafting on their FIRST robots.

This year's competition challenges students to design and build a robot with shooting, ball-collecting, offensive and defensive capabilities for competition in a basketball-like game entitled Aim High. The participants compete for a number of awards, including the Rookie All-Star, the Chairman's and the Team Spirit Award, among many others.
