Students gather at the Georgia Dome for the FIRST Championship!

The 2006 FIRST Championship was held at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Ga. where more than 300 teams from the United States and other nations competed in Aim High, a basketball-like challenge.
Igus® Inc. is a product sponsor for the multinational 2006 FIRST Robotics Competition. Students had the opportunity to use a wide-array of igus products, including Energy Chain® cable carrier, iglide® plastic bearings and DryLin® linear guide systems and shafting on their FIRST robots.

Carmel High School - The TechHounds from Ind. used igubal and iglide bearings on their robot.
Denver, Colo. Regional - A number of teams at the Denver event used igus products.
Grosse Pointe North Public Schools - These students from Mich. used a DryLin N linear guide system on their robot.
Groton-Dunstable Regional High School & Lawrence Academy - This collaboration of schools used igubal pillow blocks on its robot.
Mount St. Joseph Academy - This rookie team used igubal bearings and DryLin N on its premiere robot.
Keene High School - This team was a finalist at the Mass. regional with its robot that used igus components.
 Palo Verde High School - This school from Las Vegas, Nev. is a veteran of FIRST and used igubal pillow blocks and rod ends on its robot named Jackpot.
Pascack Hills High School - This team from N.J. used iglide and igubal bearings during their second year competing in FIRST Robotics.
Tehachapi High School - This team from Calif. used DryLin W on its robot's sling-shot-style shooter.
