Students from California State University at Northridge participated in the Intelligent Ground Vehicle Competition (IGVC), an annual contest that brings to the forefront a combination of the latest innovations in the disciplines of electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as computer science. To create their vehicle, the team from California State used igus® Chainflex® continuous-flex cables. The CF211 series, which offers shielded, 2-conductor data cables in many gauges, provided noise-free control signals to the motor controllers of the vehicle. With the use of Chainflex, the motor controllers performed perfectly and the team placed 19 th (of 32) in its rookie year. To learn more about this team or the IGVC, visit www.igvc.org.
