Thirty-five students from Grosse Pointe North Public Schools built Balzac the robot for the 2006 FIRST Robotics Competition. This year’s team used a DryLin® N linear guide system donated by igus® to make a slide/plunger system that enables the robot to shoot game balls into goals on the game floor and suspended in the air. The team competed against 62 teams and placed 34th.
