In 1999, students from Keene High School came together to form the KHS FIRST Robotics Club. Since the team’s debut seven years ago, it has won many awards and this year took second place in the final match at the Boston, Mass. Regional. The team created a robot with shooting and ball-collecting capabilities for a basketball-like challenge called Aim High. The students used igubal® flange bearings donated by igus® on the robot which they named Dirty Bird. The KHS Robotics Club is happy with its accomplishments this season and looks forward to another year with FIRST. To learn more about the Keene High School FIRST team, visit www.khsfirst.com.
