Project: Energy efficient vehicle
Product used: Chainflex

Students from Pennsylvania State University used donated Chainflex® continuous-flex cables on their vehicle for Challenge X, a competition that challenges students to re-engineer a crossover sport utility vehicle to minimize energy consumption, emissions and greenhouse gases, while at the same time maintaining or exceeding the vehicle's utility and performance.

The students used the Chainflex cable to provide power to a new engine dynamometer on the vehicle. Chainflex aids the team in performing engine mapping on the dynamometer, which will eventually result in better fuel efficiency and control of the diesel engine.
