Watch Sacred Heart's robot in action!

The Machinators from Sacred Heart High School won both the robot competition and the BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) award at the North Texas events and went onto to compete in the Texas BEST regional. The team of more than 25 students used products donated by igus® to improve its robot.

“The quality, reliability and operating ease of the machine was made possible by the use of igus components,” said Darrell Walterscheid, Sacred Heart team mentor.

In order to easily showcase the igus products on their machine, students designed a cutaway view of the robot that showed the igubal® bearings carrying the loads. The team also made a video that demonstrated all of the robot’s unique features.
