Students from Seneca College, engineering professionals and people from all walks of life came together to build the Xof1, a solar vehicle that will attempt to drive 14,500 miles to set a new world distance record and inspire others to be environmentally conscious. chainflex® cables are used for the battery connections to create an “umbilical cord” for the car’s solar panel.
Using only sunshine as fuel, the Xof1 team is committed to promoting the use of clean and sustainable energy. By using chainflex®, the team has the ability to open the hood and recharge its solar panel at any point during its travels.
The Xof1 solar car project has been featured on the Canadian show, Breakfast Television, and also received coverage on networks such as FOX, ABC, NBC, Univision and the Discovery channel.
