SLW Series Lead Screw Driven Linear Actuators by drylin®
The drylin® SLW linear actuator product range is characterized by its stable aluminum dual shaft rails and many carriage versions. These linear actuators are ideal for manual format adjustments, but can also be fitted with a motor to make electrical adjustments. They have high flexural strength and are flat, compact, and fully supported. The hard-anodized aluminum rails are available in five installation sizes. The shaft end supports are made of chrome-plated zinc, with a special version with shaft ends made of hard anodized aluminum available upon request (SLW-AL). The stainless steel version comes with corrosion-resistant steel components (1.4305 or 1.4571), and you can choose from bearing materials iglide J, iglide X, or iglide A180.

The following options can be configured directly online for the SLW product range
Lead screw materials
All drylin linear actuators can be delivered with self-locking steel and stainless steel trapezoidal lead screws. Upon request, they can also be made from hard coated aluminum. The SHT and SLW series can also be configured with stainless steel high helix lead screws. This allows much higher pitches and drive speeds, but without the self-locking feature.
Bearing materials
All drylin drive unit bearing points are equipped with dry-running and maintenance-free high-performance polymers. Options include materials for high-temperature applications up to +356°F (iglide® X, SHT-ES series), and for FDA-compliant environments (iglide® A180).
Electric drive systems: electric motors from igus
With our wide-ranging motor shop, igus offers the possibility of equipping linear axis systems with the appropriate motor solutions, whether you need DC, lead screw stepper or EC/BLDC motors. When combined with drylin linear axes, which can be ordered completely ready for installation and connection, entire handling systems can be configured. These powerful motors can solve a wide variety of problems in electric drive technology.
Lead screw clamp
In many applications, a clamping option is also required as an additional safeguard against unintentional adjustment.

Digital position indicator
The electronic position indicator (battery operated) for drylin® linear actuators can be freely programmed for the individual thread pitch in each case. Ideal for use with dryspin® high helix threads. LCD display with 5 digits and special characters, long battery life and easy battery change without removal of the device.
drylin hand wheels
An extensive selection of hand wheels for a wide variety of requirements is available to ship from stock. They range from small, compact sizes up to Ø125 with or without handles and in various configurations.
SLWM-1080 – linear actuator with measurement system
SLW Installation Size 1080 can also be delivered with a digital measuring system. The stroke and measuring length can be determined individually, the moving display can be set to metric or imperial, and the zero point can be set to any position. The count direction can also be set manually, and the fixable ball head allows an ergonomic reading direction.
