Shock-resistant drylin® linear technology

Tough engineered igus® plastics resist extreme loads

drylin® linear systems reliably resist large shocks and high impacts. drylin® solutions are designed with sliding liners that disperse loads over a large surface area, lowering overall surface pressure. This is different from ball bearings, which create point-to-point contacts and can damage the shaft under high impacts. The larger contact surface of drylin® allows for optimal flexural strength and load distribution, making it the more durable option. The maximum recommended surface pressure for drylin® goes as high as 150 MPa (21,756 PSI) with a shore D hardness of 70-85.
