Grip and feel
The prosthesis hand and fingers from Vincent Systems Gmbh are electrically automated and enable very realistic movement patterns. A challenge in the development phase was finding a solution that could be used in a small space while remaining functional and aesthetically pleasing. The metacarpophalangeal joint is moved directly by a geared motor and the middle joint is carried along by a flexible connection. All the axes involved in the movement are supported by plastic bushings made of iglide® J. A total of eight bearings are embedded in each finger, which absorb the various loads (static, pulse-type and oscillating) that occur.
