The motion of the driving rod of an organ should be completely noiseless and smooth-running. With this smooth operation, the organist can be assured of easy functioning and that other undesired interfering sounds are avoided. At the same time, the pedals need to provide adequate braking potential.

iglide® plastic bearings along with an adjusting screw were able to achieve all of the above. The adjusting screw uses the elasticity of the applied iglide® plastic bearing and marginally modifies the inner diameter. Thus a continuous braking action can be attained while maintaining a quiet and smooth operation of the organ pedals and console.
