igus® products are quality tested daily

In the igus® test laboratory, applications with a high number of cycles, speeds and accelerations are tested and proven in demanding environmental conditions. igus® conducts tests continuously in its in-house laboratory under real-world conditions.

Over 2,000 experiments are conducted every year for energy chain systems and cables and over 5,000 experiments for bearings. The focus of our tests is tensile strengths and shear forces, coefficients of friction and wear-rates. Influencing factors - such as speed, stress, dirt, weathering, temperature or impacts and shocks - are tested. Electrical cables and all types of hoses for different media, hydraulics and pneumatics, are also tested.
