Deposition and analysis systems

PREVAC is one of the leading manufacturers of research instruments and systems in the UHV segment in the world: igus® e-chain systems® are used under the name RIXS terminal for highresolution energy and wave vector analysis (PEAXIS). This is a new, special terminal for an existing beam line on the BESSY II Synchrotron in the Helmholtz Centre in Berlin. It is designed to examine both liquid and solid samples with the aid of synchrotron-based methods. The room containing the apparatus is five metres long and can be rotated horizontally by +/- 60 degrees. In addition, there is a broad lifting range – there are 30 degrees of freedom available which are driven by 27 servo motors and checked by optical encoders. The e-chains® from igus® provide are integrated in the innovative design and provide optimum protection for cables and system.
