LARS

Launch and Recovery System (LARS) – a process used in seafaring whenever there is little space available or the outdoor conditions can change quickly. A “telescopic system” has been developed for luxury yachts and marine ships which makes it possible to launch or recover larger and faster rescue boats from the main ship without any problems. A challenge: the link arms must remain functional and sturdy even in rough sea conditions. Here, e-chain systems® from igus® ensure that hydraulic hoses and electric cables can be fitted safely and protected.
