Roll-on/roll-off ship technology

Mobile car decks – the individual levels can be moved for transporting vehicles in the cargo area of a roll-on/roll-off ship. This makes it possible to reduce the height between the decks and utilise the space more efficiently. Electrical lifting equipment is used, which requires intelligent cable management. The e-chain® from igus® is attached on the upper side of the deck on the one hand and to its lower end on the other – fitting its design height perfectly. The newly created technical term for this system is “punch chain solution”.
