For this application, aircraft engine parts are welded together. The welding points are measured in advance. The sensors are located on a telescopic unit. Here an extraordinary solution from igus® is used for the energy supply and makes this application possible in the first place. Standard chain links were used to construct a special energy chain cable carrier which is capable of bending in a different direction in the middle than at the beginning and at the end. This became necessary because the energy chain cable carrier is not allowed to project beyond the telescopic unit.
