The entry point of the PRT-05 line and the purest expression of its design philosophy: two injection-molded iglide® components — an M260 body and P4 sliding surfaces — that clip together without tools, grease, or metal of any kind. It is the most affordable, lightest, and simplest slewing ring in the PRT lineup. It is also self-lubricating, corrosion-proof, non-magnetic, and lab-tested for reliable service life. With at least 97% regranulate content in both materials, it’s also a highly sustainable option. No drive integration is included; friction or simple belt arrangements cover any motion control needs.
When to use it: Simple, low-load rotary applications where cost, weight, corrosion immunity, and sustainability are the primary criteria and no travel limiting or motorized drive is needed.
When not to use it: Any application requiring meaningful axial or radial load capacity beyond light duty, angular travel control, or integrated drive — consider the PRT-05-TS-360 for a built-in stop, or the PRT-04 and PRT-01 series for higher performance.
Application areas: Rotating displays, furniture turntables, light fixtures, kiosks, and educational robots where the goal is simple, reliable rotation at the lowest possible cost and weight.
