For example, both our iglide® and igubal® lines of plastic bearings are self-lubricating, eliminating the need for external lubricants and making them resistant to the dirt and dust present in many powersport applications. Not only that, our plastic components are lightweight and offer shock-resistance and vibration dampening, ensuring smoother performance and a longer service life to help drive down maintenance costs.

In addition to our plastic bearings options, igus® also offers dry-tech® GKF shafting, an alternative to traditional zinc, metal, or nickel shaft plating. GKF shafts pair perfectly with iglide® bearings, increasing their service life by 40-60% in high impact applications such as powersports. As with iglide® bearings, our GKF shafts are maintenance-free and require no external lubricants.
