Other installation types
Separators can be positioned at any point in the chain cross-section. The standard separator part no. 501 acts as a secure support by virtue of its wide base, even in the case of thick cables/hoses. Separators can be used for Energy Chains® as well as energy tubes of the above-mentioned series. Additionally available for applications with Energy Chains® (not tubes) available: Locking separator part no. 504 with increased retention capacity. This separator is used in applications involving extremely high loads. Asymmetric locking separator, part no. 508. This separator is used in applications involving very high humidity, e.g. at compost plants. Opening of the Energy Chain® is more difficult when locking separators are used. All separators are movable and can be locked into position by means of spacers (not applicable to tubes) in the case of "side-mounted" applications, for example. Note: The available inner height is reduced by 0.08 (2 mm) per spacer, i.e. and can amount to 0.16 (4 mm) in the case of spacers installed on both sides. In order to avoid this, the parts can also be mounted on the snap-open crossbar from outside.
The various elements of the interior separation kit allow vertical as well as horizontal division of the Energy Chains® and tubes Side-plates and shelves form the basic framework of a rack system. On a height grid of 0.28 (7 mm), shelves of different widths can be arranged in 11 stages. Assignments are recommended in the chapter titled "Design specifications". During installation of the "open" slotted separator, the uppermost and lowermost "grid levels" cannot be occupied by a shelf. Examples of interior separation: Slotted separators Art. No. 505 for very fine divisions. However, these separators cannot be integrated into an existing system of divisions without prior dismantling of the interior separation. Slotted separator Art. No. 509 which is open on one side can be post-integrated into existing interior-separation systems without the need for dismantling them beforehand (Does not apply to shelves at the uppermost or lowermost grid levels).
