In this version special plastic glide shoes are mounted on the side of the chain link every 1.000 to 2.000 mm. The function of these guide elements resembles the leeboards used on sail boats. Some of these leeboards are conceived in such a way that in contact with firm ground they pivot upward and enable the continuation of the travel. Similarly the glide shoes in AUTOGLIDE go up and down, each according to its position as lower run or upper run of the chain. They provide the precise lateral guidance and a smooth glide of the e-chain®. The glide shoes are mounted on every 20th chain link from the fixed end of the e-chain®. Separators offer a possibility to partition the interior of the snap-open energy tube of the Series 2680. They are used exclusively for vertical separation.
Full width shelf
This possibility makes sense when using many thin tubes with similar or equal diameters. These versions fill the entire inner width of the chain.
They are sensible when many cables with different diameters are used.
