igubal KSTM CL – the bionic alternative for higher load capacity
The igubal KSTM CL pillow block bearing is the innovative alternative to the KSTM and is characterised by its bionic design. The spherical ball is clipped into this version. The bionic design utilises the tree notch inspired by nature to ensure uniform stress distribution and increased load capacity. This design ensures optimal functionality and durability of the bearing.
The housing of the KSTM CL is made of igumid G, an impact-resistant, long-fibre reinforced polymer that is suitable for temperatures from -40°C to +120°C and can withstand short-term exposure up to +180°C. For the spherical ball material, there is a choice between iglidur W300 and iglidur J.
The KSTM CL pillow block bearing offers maintenance-free dry operation, which makes the use of lubricants unnecessary and thus significantly reduces maintenance requirements. The high stiffness and very high durability under alternating loads ensure reliable and long-term performance. It compensates for misalignments and edge loads, which ensures optimal functionality. Furthermore, it is corrosion- and chemical-resistant, ensuring reliable performance even in demanding environments. The high vibration-dampening capacity makes it ideal for rotating, oscillating and axial movements.
Thanks to its very lightweight design, the KSTM CL pillow block bearing helps to reduce the total mass of the application, which is particularly advantageous in dynamic systems. The igubal pillow block bearings are an outstanding solution for a wide range of applications where high performance, freedom from maintenance and insensitivity to dirt are essential. They offer numerous advantages over conventional metallic pillow block bearings and are a cost-effective, lightweight and robust choice for machine and plant engineering.
