The EC.WLC sensor can quickly provide information about the wear condition of an e-chain® via colored indicators. Abrasion exposes wear additives in the links and provides information on the condition of the gliding e-chain®. Similar to a stop light, green indicates there is no need for action, yellow indicates some wear, and red means the e-chain should be inspected and replaced if necessary.
The decreasing distance between the crossbars also indicates the state of wear.
