drylin® R Hollow Linear Shaft — Hard Anodized Aluminum

The drylin® AWMR hollow linear shaft offers a lightweight, corrosion-resistant alternative to solid steel shafting — reducing system weight while delivering the durability needed for demanding linear motion applications. Hard anodized to a surface hardness of up to 550 HV, it combines steel-grade wear resistance with the weight and corrosion benefits of aluminum. Standard shafts are cut to a +/- 1 mm length tolerance, with tighter tolerances and custom cut-to-length services available on request.

Liner Compatibility

Pairing the right iglide® liner with your shaft ensures optimal performance and service life. For the AWMR anodized aluminum shaft:

• Recommended: iglide J and J200 — these liners are specifically optimized for anodized aluminum shafting and deliver the lowest friction and longest service life.
• Compatible: iglide A160 and E7 — suitable for use with this shaft material in appropriate applications.
• Not recommended: iglide X series — these liners are not suited to anodized aluminum surfaces and may cause premature wear on the shaft finish.
