The proximity switch, also known as a limit or reference switch, is used to limit the travel length of linear axes with a power amplifier combination and, above all, to protect them. They are also indispensable for homing with incremental encoders. The proximity switches with metal housing are available with an opener and a 2m long connection cable. Furthermore, a distinction is made between the PNP and NPN switching output. The positive pole is switched at the PNP output and the negative pole is switched at the NPN output.
