Versatile FDA/EU-compliant sheet for direct food contact, frequent washdown, and quiet, low-friction motion in thin bonded layers. Ideal where a clean, 3 mm wear surface is required for smooth sliding and easy sanitation.

When to use it: For 3 mm compliant liners and shims in wet, hygienic environments.
When not to use it: For broader thickness options, see A160 or J; for large full-size 1000 × 1000 mm sheets, see REC200.

igus® sheet stock provides thin iglide® panels for shims, liners, and low profile glide elements. Sheets are ideal when a broad face at minimal thickness is needed to reduce friction, noise, and wear. You keep core iglide® benefits—self-lubrication, chemical durability, and long service life—while meeting tight height constraints. Available in round bar stock, plate stock, sheet stock, plate strips, and custom profiles (upon request).

When to use sheet stock

• Low thickness liners and shims with wide surface area
• Bonded or fastened wear layers on sliding surfaces
• Lightweight, low profile glide pads and noise reduction layers
• Quick profiling of flat parts from thin panels

When not to use sheet stock

• Parts needing deep counterbores, threads, or structural stiffness (choose plate stock)
• Long, straight rails better served by a fixed strip width (choose plate strips)
• Turned, round geometries (choose round bar)
• Very high volumes of one geometry (use catalog parts or molding)
