igubal® 2-Hole Flange Bearing EFOM 2.0, igumid G Housing

The igubal® EFOM 2.0 is the second-generation 2-hole flange bearing for supporting shaft ends or shaft bushings. Like the original EFOM, it follows dimensional series E based on DIN ISO 12240 and uses an igumid G housing for self-lubricating, maintenance-free operation, corrosion resistance, and low weight. In the classic two-hole EFOM design, the slotted holes also support easier readjustment, so exact housing alignment is not necessary.

What changes in the 2.0 version is the housing itself. igus says the design was optimized for a fully seated mounting surface and reduced dirt ingress. The new nature-inspired geometry uses material more efficiently to lower weight without sacrificing static performance, while the optimized stress distribution helps reduce stress peaks and maintain the performance level of the previous EFOM model.

The housing remains impact-resistant igumid G and is rated for long-term temperatures from -40°C to +120°C, with short-term resistance up to +180°C. Spherical ball options include iglide® W300 as standard, along with iglide® J and iglide® J4 for different wear and motion requirements. The bearing also compensates for misalignment and edge loads, which keeps it well suited for demanding mounted shaft applications.
