igumid® P150 filament for 3D printing

igumid® P150 is an extremely strong and stiff 3D printing filament due to fiber reinforcement. With a flexural strength of 87 MPa and a modulus of elasticity of 4,700MPa, it prints rigid, load-bearing parts at low weight, making it ideal for lightweight construction where high strength keeps material use down. It was developed as the partner material to iglide® i150 for multi-material (2K) printing: a strong P150 body combined with a friction-optimized i150 running surface in a single part. Because the reinforcing fibers are abrasive, it should be run through a hardened nozzle and wear-resistant extruder drive, and it operates in up to continuous +212°F temperatures. igumid® P150 can be purchased as filament for processing with your own printer or ordered at 3D printing service via STEP file as a stand-alone component or as a 2K component in combination with iglide® i150.

When to use it:

• Structural, load-bearing printed parts — brackets, housings, levers, and frames where strength and rigidity matter.

• Lightweight construction, where a high strength-to-weight ratio reduces material and part mass.

• Multi-material (2K) parts combining a strong P150 body with an iglide tribofilament wear surface such as i150.

When not to use it:

• When the part is a sliding or bearing surface that needs self-lubrication and wear resistance — use a tribofilament such as iglide® i150 or iglide® J260, or combine them with P150 in a 2K print.

• When you need even greater stiffness and strength — step up to the carbon-fiber-reinforced igumid® P190.

• When operating temperatures exceed +212°F — use a higher-temperature material such as iglide® J260 or iglide® A350.
