The proximity switch, also known as a limit or reference switch, is used to limit the travel angle of gearboxes with a power amplifier combination. It is also indispensable for homing with incremental encoders
The proximity switch as a closer (NO) is open when idle. For the PNP switching output, the positive pole is switched.
