iglide® i150 3D Printing Filament

iglide® i150 is the easiest-to-print member of the tribofilament range — the entry point for making self-lubricating, wear-resistant parts on a standard FDM/FFF printer. Like all iglide tribofilaments it is up to 50 times more abrasion-resistant than standard 3D-printing plastics, so printed bearings, bushings, and guides outlast ABS or nylon equivalents. Parts printed from i150 can withstand continuous operation up to +149°F, offers good mechanical properties, and delivers very good wear values at low surface speeds — the natural choice when easy processing and low cost matter more than maximum performance.

When to use it:

• Getting started with tribofilaments — the most forgiving iglide material to process.

• Low-speed, low-load sliding and bearing parts — bushings, guides, and wear pads where surface speeds stay modest.

• Fast, low-cost prototyping and one-for-one replacement of standard wear parts to cut downtime.

When not to use it:

• When the part runs hotter than +149°F continuously — step up to iglide® i180 (+176°F) or iglide® J260 (+248°F).

• When the application sees higher surface speeds or demands maximum wear life — use iglide® J260, the most abrasion-resistant filament in the range.

• When the part is structural or load-bearing rather than a sliding surface — use the fiber-reinforced igumid® P150, or pair the two in a multi-material print.

Application areas: Bushings, plain bearings, guide elements, wear pads, and replacement wear parts in low-speed, low-load applications, plus rapid prototypes and parts printed on entry-level 3D printers.
