Fully integrated drive unit
ReBeL® stands for Robotic Embedded BLDC & Electronics Link. The gearbox combines a strain wave gearbox, brushless DC motor, control electronics and an absolute encoder in one compact unit. This integrated design reduces the number of separate components needed to build a robotic joint.
Integrated control electronics
The motor driver and control electronics are built into the gearbox, so a separate motor controller is not required. A CAN master is needed to send motion commands to the drive unit.
Lightweight polymer design
High-performance igus® polymers make the gearbox 25% lighter than conventional strain wave gearboxes, helping reduce the overall weight of custom robotic systems.
For custom robot development
The modular gearbox can be combined with connecting elements to create custom robot configurations. It can be used as the final axis of an articulated robot, gantry robot or delta robot and positioned before a compatible gripper or other end effector.
