iglide® B160 – round bar stock

iglide® B160 is a black, cost-efficient triboplastic offering improved wear behavior over A160 and smooth running on hard-anodized aluminum shafts. It provides low friction, low moisture uptake and quiet motion for low to medium loads, making it a smart choice where appearance, value and dependable service life matter.

When to use it: For visible components that need black color, quiet motion and long life on aluminum shafts at low to medium loads.
When not to use it: For very high loads, consider W300 or Q2; for direct food contact, consider A160 or A181.

• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
