iglide® A180 is a versatile FDA and EU-compliant material designed for direct food contact and frequent washdown environments. It performs especially well in rotating or pivoting applications, offering quiet operation and low friction. A180 is a reliable general-purpose solution for food and medical industries requiring cleanliness and long-term performance.

When to use it: For FDA/EU-regulated food or medical devices; for moving parts in wet, hygienic environments
When not to use it: When very high loads or temperatures are involved – consider A350 or A500

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
