iglide® A350 – round bar stock

iglide® A350 is a high-temperature, FDA and EU 10/2011 compliant triboplastic for direct food contact. It delivers long service life and dimensional stability under continuous heat, frequent washdowns and aggressive cleaners, while maintaining low friction and low moisture uptake in rotating and pivoting motion.

When to use it: For food processing components exposed to elevated temperatures, ovens or hot-fill zones, and regular CIP/SIP cleaning.
When not to use it: If you need higher temperature headroom or stronger chemical resistance, consider iglide® A500 or AC500.

All iglide® bar stocks are self-lubricating and maintenance free, ideal for prototypes, low-volume runs, and geometries outside standard parts. igus® can also machine custom parts from bar stock with quick turnaround.

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
