iglide® B180 – round bar stock

iglide® B180 is a versatile, wear-resistant material with low moisture absorption and dependable performance across varying loads and environments. It runs with low friction on many shaft types and offers good resistance to dirt, splash water and seawater, supporting long service life in everyday machinery.

When to use it: For mixed indoor/outdoor conditions, variable loads and general-purpose wear parts where reliability and value are priorities.
When not to use it: For sustained high temperatures, consider A350 or A500; for extreme loads, consider W300.

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
