iglide® C500 – round bar stock

iglide® C500 is a chemical and temperature specialist for harsh, humid environments. It pairs high media resistance and low moisture absorption with stable wear behavior, making it a strong choice for components exposed to steam, condensate or aggressive cleaners while maintaining low friction and dimensional stability.

When to use it: For bearings and wear parts in chemical processing, washdown zones or humid, hot environments that demand stability.
When not to use it: If direct food contact compliance is required, see A160/A181/A350/A500; for purely high-load endurance without chemicals, W300 may fit.

• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
