iglide® J3B – round bar stock

iglide® J3B boosts wear resistance and service life compared to iglide® J for oscillating and pivoting motions. It runs smoothly with low coefficients of friction at low to medium loads, resists moisture and media, and is offered in black for visual integration in machines and equipment.

When to use it: For long-life pivots and oscillations where moisture or media exposure is expected and a black material is preferred.
When not to use it: For very high static loads choose W300; for aluminum shaft optimization choose J200.

igus® bar stock materials enable fast, flexible creation of custom components with standard tools or CNC machining. All iglide® bar stocks are self-lubricating and maintenance free, ideal for prototypes, low-volume runs, and geometries outside standard parts. igus® can also machine custom parts from bar stock with quick turnaround.

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
