iglide® JPF – round bar stock

iglide® JPF is a PTFE-free, low-friction material that provides excellent service life at low to medium loads. It runs clean and maintenance-free with low wear, offering a simple option where compact, dry-running components are needed.

When to use it: For dry-running guides and pivots where PTFE-free material and steady wear performance are preferred.
When not to use it: For aluminum shaft focus select J200; for heavier loads with maximum wear life select W300.

igus® bar stock materials enable fast, flexible creation of custom components with standard tools or CNC machining. All iglide® bar stocks are self-lubricating and maintenance free, ideal for prototypes, low-volume runs, and geometries outside standard parts. igus® can also machine custom parts from bar stock with quick turnaround.

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
