iglide® RW370 – round bar stock

iglide® RW370 is a flame-retardant triboplastic tailored for the rail industry, offering low friction and stable wear at low to medium pressures. It meets stringent fire protection requirements while maintaining clean, dry-running performance in components exposed to vibration and continuous motion.

When to use it: When rail fire protection compliance and reliable wear behavior are required.
When not to use it: If you do not need flame compliance and want broader general-purpose wear life, consider iglide® W300.

All iglide® bar stocks are self-lubricating and maintenance free, ideal for prototypes, low-volume runs, and geometries outside standard parts. igus® can also machine custom parts from bar stock with quick turnaround.

When to use bar stock:

• No matching size in the iglide® catalog
• Small quantities or special dimensions
• Tribo-optimized plastic needed for low friction and wear on a chosen counterface
• High compressive strength or elasticity required
• Rapid prototypes or design iterations
• Nonstandard or complex geometries

When not to use bar stock:

• A standard iglide® catalog bearing fits
• Very large volumes of one geometry (use standard parts or molding)
• Tribo properties not required and a non-tribo plastic suffices
