The food-safe member of the PRT-02 line. An AISI stainless steel outer ring is paired with FDA-compliant iglide® A180 sliding elements, making the bearing safe for direct food contact in addition to delivering full washdown corrosion resistance. It carries forward the load capacity benefits of the standard ES variant while replacing the sliding element compound with one that meets food contact regulations — eliminating the need for protective covers, secondary barriers, or separate hygienic-grade specification work. Lightweight, fully maintenance-free, and FDA-compliant out of the box.
When to use it: Food, beverage, and packaging applications requiring direct or near-direct food contact, washdown environments, and any hygienic process where standard sliding compounds wouldn’t pass compliance review.
When not to use it: When food contact compliance isn’t required (use the standard -ES variant for better wear performance and lower cost), or when even higher washdown duty is anticipated than the PRT-02 platform can sustain (consider the PRT-01 with A180).
