The high-load, corrosion-resistant member of the PRT-02 line. The AISI 316Ti stainless steel outer ring, paired with iglide® J4 head rings, delivers the highest load capacity and tilting moment performance available in the PRT-02 lineup, while the J4 sliding elements deliver a low coefficient of friction and a longer service life than standard combinations. It still carries the product line’s lightweight, low-maintenance, dry-running advantages, but adds the corrosion resistance and load capacity needed to take the PRT-02 into harsher environments like splash zones, outdoor mechanisms, and applications where higher tilting moments would overwhelm an aluminum or polymer ring.
When to use it: Mid-duty applications with elevated load or tilting-moment requirements, corrosive or wet environments, or any setting where aluminum and polymer outer rings won’t meet durability requirements.
When not to use it: When loads are light enough for aluminum or polymer (use those variants for lower cost), when FDA compliance is required (use the -ES-A180 variant), or when industrial-duty stiffness is needed (step up to the PRT-01).
Application areas: Outdoor mechanisms, marine and splash-zone equipment, washdown-adjacent machinery, packaging and processing pivots, medical devices, and any rotary application demanding both higher load capacity and corrosion resistance in a lightweight package.
